Hi! My name is Kari Ries.

As a young video producer for Time Warner in NYC, I shot and edited all of my own news stories. When my husband and I got married in 1994, I edited my wedding video, creating a story of “us.” I realized right then and there that I was most energized by personal and creative videography and boom, Ries Video Productions was born!  My time spent at NBC10 in Philadelphia as a photojournalist is when I refined my storytelling skills. When a great story comes together with creative visuals, compelling narration, and carefully curated music, it’s pure magic!

When I’m not filming or editing, you can find me running along the canal towpath to classic rock or blues (I love music!), meeting friends for dinner, camping at Lake George, or just getting dirty in my garden.
